Alaskan Way procurement - TunnelCast

October 2010: A giant TBM bored tunnel of 54ft (16.5m) diameter or more will replace the earthquake-damaged elevated SR-99 highway across the waterfront of Seattle, Washington. The bored tunnel will progress from the south portal and follow the elevated highway before bearing north under the city and its existing underground infrastructure to rejoin the highway at a northern portal structure.
