Components of the 10m diameter Caterpillar TBM used to complete the 2km tunnel for the Evergreen Line SkyTrain project in Vancouver in Canada are available for sale. The CAT TBM RME388SE, Series 28000 machine completed the tunnel in November 2015 for EGRT Construction joint venture.
For sale is the TBM’s motor plate structure and miscellaneous TBM parts including the three-person TBM manlock, the segment hoist, foam injection system, thrust cylinders and ram pads, main drive motors and gear boxes, brush tail seal and cable reels. The motor plate structure is configured for up to 12 gear boxes and includes the main bearing and its envelope.
Additional ancillary equipment includes a MineARC refuge chamber, transformers, water pumps and TBM air compressor.
